Ciclismo was started by Daniele Vanolini in 2003. He found that there were many new riders starting to ride but there was no one to teach them the very basics up to the more advanced skills of riding – commuting, group skills and racing tips.
He started training cyclists in 2001 and is a qualified level 1 cycle coach, training cyclists in many facets of the sport. Some of his success stories are coaching the winning NSW TTT women’s team and training riders for criteriums, road races, triathlons, time trials & mountain bike cross country.
Two wheels has always been a part of Daniele’s life from a very young age. He competed in motorcycle motorcross for many years and then progressed to motorcycle road racing where he competed in 7 x World Championship Superbike rounds at the famous circuit of Phillip Island, finishing in the top 20 in the world. Motorcycling is a demanding sport where physical fitness is as important as it is in cycling. So he focused on being committed to physical fitness.
Daniele has also competed in many road and criterium events as well as cross country mountain bike cycling events and even a Masters World Cup event held at the Olympic MTB track at Fairfield City Farm in 2000. He has also competed internationally in many Granfondo & cyclo sportive events and in 2010 completed the toughest one day race – the Paris Roubaix sportive of 255km. Racing locally for Randwick Botany Cycling Club, he has won the Club Championship 4 times in A grade and in 2016 won gold in the NSW Team Time Trial.
Ciclismo specialises in helping new riders start achieving their dreams as well as more experienced riders work towards their next sporting goal.
Since 2003 Ciclismo has grown and now has a experienced coaching team who have worked with Daniele for many years.
